Package receiving for Ensenada residents
Ensenada is about 70 miles and roughly 90 minutes from our San Ysidro warehouse via the Tijuana–Ensenada cuota — a real trip, but one our Ensenada customers turn into a productive once-a-week run.
Why the trip up is worth it
Ensenada is a fishing port, a cruise-ship stop, and the unofficial capital of Baja wine and cuisine — but it is not an e-commerce paradise. Amazon Mexico's Ensenada coverage is thin on oversize goods, Home Depot México carries a fraction of US SKUs, and the good US retailers (Best Buy, Costco.com, Harbor Freight, REI, B&H, Sephora) flatly refuse to ship to your Ensenada address. A US-side address gives you those catalogs at US prices.
Carriers we accept
- FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL
- Amazon Logistics
- OnTrac, LaserShip, regional couriers
- LTL freight for furniture, appliances, kayaks, motors (call ahead)
How it works in 4 steps
- Sign up and get your dedicated US address + suite number.
- Order to that address from any US retailer.
- We receive, photograph, and notify you.
- You drive up, pay, and pick up — Mon–Sat 9–7.
Best time to cross from Ensenada
For a full round trip, leave Ensenada around 6:30–7:00am. Traffic on the Tijuana–Ensenada toll road is clear before 8am, you'll reach San Ysidro by 8:30–9, and the northbound border line is at its shortest of the day. Arrive at our warehouse right when we open, run any San Diego errands (Costco, Trader Joe's, Target), and start southbound by early afternoon.
Avoid Sunday evenings returning to Ensenada — the southbound line through Rosarito fills with weekend visitors. Friday-afternoon northbound is also notoriously slow. If you're carrying a large item, cross back at Otay Mesa; Otay's commercial-adjacent lanes make oversize household goods a non-issue.
